Boomer has been here since he was 5 weeks old. His sisters and his mom were all adopted out quickly. Boomer was here with us till he was over 6 months old. We had a few people interested in him, but nothing that made me jump for joy. So, we waited.
Bryce was an owner surrender, and we had over 100 applications for him. It wasn't hard at ALL to find the perfect home for him. Colleen and Ron sent us an application for Bryce and everything about it was just perfect. The meeting proved to us that it WAS PERFECT. In fact, the night Colleen & Ron met Bryce, they also met Boom. Right there and then, they told us that they wanted to get a second dog, and since Boomer & Bryce were such good buddies, they wanted to adopt him too. My heart SANG. I was so excited.
They adopted Bryce on August 28th. They wanted to have some bonding time with Bryce and get him acclimated until they felt ready for Boomer to join their family. They predicted 2-3 weeks.
Well, let me tell you. Boomer was one depressed little puppy. He wouldn't even go in the yard without his puppy.
We received an update on how well Bryce was doing in his new home. They only had one teeny problem. Bryce was missing his puppy too.
So, on 9/6/03 Boomer was also adopted. BUT, we did it differently this time. Normally, I am a weeny and don't like taking the dogs to their new home and leaving them. Something about it gives me such anxiety.
However, this time, we wanted to witness the reunion of the babies. We took a whole bunch of pictures, and below are the best ones. This adoption really warms my heart. Boomer was here a long time, and was a complete mushy lover boy. I will miss his adorable eyes and his black velvet ears. His new parents promise to give us updates too. The pups will have their own pond, a swimming pool, a mom and a dad, a cousin to play with, and 18 acres to play on. Life will be GOOD!!!!
