We got skippy here from Alabama with the help of Gina, Janice, Barb and Donna.  That was the first hurdle.
NEXT, was getting him well.  Another whole chapter in his book,
Skippy's story

However, by the time Skippy left here, his murmur was downgraded to a 1 1/2, his heartworms were gone, he was put on a diet from being so FAT, as opposed to the way he came in, and he was using his bad leg to RUN in the yard.  Yep, RUN!!!!
Then, last but not least, was to get him from Southeastern PA to OH, then to Oregon
Mary Ellen made all the travelers special Skippy T-shirts.  The paw prints are where he has been.
Sleep over at my house the night before we left for OH, with Mary Ellen and a few of the cockers here.
My sister and her kids stopped in very early to say Goodbye to Skippy
Wow -- Were we goin'?
Are we there YET???????????
Almost there sweety -- little did WE know it would take 14 hours

Jan, the new mom, met Skippy back in January, during our Cocker Nationals party.  It had been FIVE long months since she first saw him.  Here they are together, FINALLY.  This is them at Janne's house in Ohio, were we all met.

Jan still has to drive all the way home to Oregon.  Good thing Skippy LOVES bye-bye's in the car.
Hi Honey, wanna puppy massage?  Can I get you a treat?  Need to go potty?  New mom is already pampering the Skip

Visions of Love, Mariah Carey
Skippy dedicates this song to his new mom & dad

Treated me kind, sweet destiny
Carried me through desperation, to the one that was waiting for me
It took so long, still I believed
Somehow the one that I needed, would find me eventually

I had a vision of love - and it was all that you've given to me

Prayed throught the nights, felt so alone
Suffered from alienation, carried the weight on my own
Had to be strong, so I believed
And now I know I've succeeded, in finding the place I conceived

I had a vision of love - and it was all that you've given to me
I had a vision of love - and it was all the you've given to me

I've realized a dream, and I visualized
The love that came to be, feel so alive
I'm so thankful that I've received, the answer that heaven has sent down to me

You treated me kind, sweet destiny
And I'll be eternally grateful, holding you so close to me
Prayed through the nights, so faithfully
Knowing the one that I needed, would find me eventually
I had a vision of love, and it was all that you've given to me
I had a vision of love, and it was all that you turned out to be.

Skippy in Utah on 6/20/02 -- love that happy tongue.
Enjoying his patio in Boise, Idaho
Skip on his bed that aunt Wanda made for him..   Tomorrow, HOME
Poor baby was soooooooo tired, he got his dinner served IN BED -- in Idaho
They are FINALLY home.  Skippy met his brothers, his dad and looky, true to Skippy style, he managed to get the BEST spot on his new dad.  Above him is Ollie, one of his new brothers.  Ollie was a Cockers in Need dog and is our LOGO dog.  Ollie found skippy's bed in the kitchen and carried it out into the living room last night.  THEN, he kissed Skippy on the puppy lips.

JUNE 23, 2002   Our long journey is over, we have rubbed noses and sniffed butts with Oliver and Tailyr, we have perused the big back yard and eaten in our new bowls.  We have slept in a waterbed and been loved up royal.

LIFE IS GOOD!!!

What a Happy Ending
Skippys Red Wagon

Well, Skippy is gonna have more adventures.  Since he can't walk for that long with his boo boo leg, his parents bought him a little red wagon.  Here's his FIRST adventure in the Rescue Wagon.

(Skippy's leg was broken along time ago, and never attended to.  It's healed, but is not straight, hence his name)
