| Cockers in Need is not a shelter. We do all fostering in our homes, and don't put our rescues down because of space or time limits. We are in desperate need of more foster homes. Currently, we only have 4 homes that can foster for us and they are full. If you are interested in helping us, please send me an email. THANK YOU |
| GROOMING |
| Cocker Spaniels are a high maintenance breed. It's very important to brush your pet daily, or at least a few times a week. You'll also need to have him or her groomed. You can find a decent groomer by going into the shops and asking questions and looking around. OR, you can buy the tools to do it yourself. OR, you can have the cat do it :-) |

| 1. We prefer a fenced in yard. 2. No children under 10 years old. 3. We would also like to see the dogs eat a natural diet, as opposed to dog foods found in a grocery store. 4. Yes, we are strict. We do it for the dogs. 5. Vet references and a home check should be expected. 6. We also reserve the right to check up on the dog after he/she has been adopted. 7. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF COCKERS IN NEED: WHEN YOU APPLY FOR A PUPPY, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO BRING IN YOUR PUP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE WILL NOT HOLD YOUR DOG AND LET THAT DOG POSSIBLY MISS AN OPPORTUNITY AT A GOOD HOME WHILE YOU HEM AND HAW AROUND. THERE IS NO TIME FOR THAT IN RESCUE, AS WE DON'T WANT OTHERS TO DIE WHILE YOU'RE WAITING TO DECIDE. IF YOU SEND IN AN APP, PLEASE BE COMMITTED. | Carly 5 year old buff & white parti cocker with adorable little freckles all over her nose. She is now spayed and ready for her new home. She would do best as an only dog as she loves to be spoiled and hog all the toys. Doggy door trained, loves to be hugged. |

| Dilly 4-5 year old male black miniature poodle. He's neutered, up to date on all vetting and ready for his new home. He's shy, but learning how to trust. Is a great little guy. He's about 14 pounds. Needs a fenced yard, doggy door trained. Sleeps with us in bed and loves it. |
| Daffy Poor sweet Daffy. She's about 8 years or so. She has been diagnosed with mammary adenocarcinoma that has metastisized to the lungs. She's doing ok - but will be a permanent foster. |
